Air Liquide Côte d'Ivoire, a subsidiary of the French multinational Air Liquide International, significantly improved its profit by nearly 300 million FCFA in the first half of 2021. The announcement was made by the managers of this company based in Abidjan.

The company specializing in the supply of industrial and medical gases, significantly improved its profit after tax by 296.593 million FCFA (444,889 euros) in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020. This profit stood at 184.587 million. of FCFA against -112.006 million FCFA as of June 30, 2020, an increase of 265%. Turnover, for its part, increased slightly by 6%, from 3.303 billion FCFA in the first half of 2020 to 3.510 billion FCFA a year later. The leaders of the company maintain that this increase is "supported by the contracting of new customers". Due to the increase in turnover combined with an optimization of operating expenses, Air Liquide Côte d'Ivoire consolidated its operating profit by 131% with an achievement of 70.081 million FCFA against -226.184 million FCFA in the first half of 2020. The same upward trend is noted at the level of the result of ordinary activities which went from a deficit situation of 313.841 million FCFA as of June 30, 2020 to a surplus situation of 8.046 million FCFA.
