Two in number, heavily armed robbers took away the large sum of 100 million FCFA belonging to the PCA of the LCAG cooperative.

In broad daylight, robbers operated in the town of Treichville. They robbed the chairman of the board of directors of the LCAG cooperative in Guitry, Koné Seydou, a member of the Association of PCAs of cocoa coffee cooperatives in Côte d'Ivoire (ASPCA-CC). “I unloaded cocoa on Sunday. I should have the check on Monday but as Monday was a public holiday due to All Saints Day, it was on Tuesday that I was able to get the check and I went directly to the bank. There they made me understand that it was not possible to have the money on Tuesdays. Went back on Wednesday after running errands. I arrived at 11.30 a.m. at the SIB and left at 12 p.m. with the money,” reports the victim. The police were immediately seized and an investigation is opened to find the robbers.
