With an investment of 11 billion CFA francs, the Aigle Group, specialized in cotton processing, is setting up in Benin within the Glo-Djigbé industrial zone (GDIZ).

The Tunisian Group Aigle estimates its total investment at 20 million USD, or 11 billion FCFA and should make it possible to create around 2,000 direct jobs for the benefit of Beninese. Within GDIZ, the Aigle Group has set up an industrial textile unit on an area of 40,000 m², to transform Beninese cotton into knitted and woven products that will be exported to Europe, the Middle East and Turkey. . The Group, which is the 7th company to set up in the GDIZ, will start production by the end of 2022. The textile unit will generate 60,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2027. Construction began in February 2021 and will be completed by 2022. The GDIZ teams, keen to work on the construction of a world-class infrastructure, have been deploying considerable efforts for months to attract investors and generate local jobs.
