A trade agreement was signed on September 16, 2021 between the Ivorian Minister of Agriculture, Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani and the Chinese company Tbea. This partnership is part of the raw cashew nut processing and storage process.

The agreement between the Minister of State, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Regulatory Authority for the Warehousing Receipts System (Arre) and the Chinese company Tbea will allow Côte d'Ivoire to ensure the best storage and preservation conditions for products using the Agricultural Commodities Exchange through warehouses and silos. Under the Warehouse Receipts (Sre) system, 108 modern raw cashew nut processing and storage warehouses and 60 grain storage silos will be constructed in all cashew producing areas of Côte d'Ivoire.

These two projects will also make it possible to support the State in order to materialize the national strategy providing for achieving a processing rate of at least 50% of the national production of cashew nuts, and self-sufficiency in cereals, by 2025. This project will lead to an investment of 287 billion FCfa in cashew nut production areas. This will allow the creation of around 400,000 direct and indirect jobs combined.
