A barrel of Brent North Sea oil for October delivery fell 2.60% or $1.78 to $66.45 in London from the previous day's close. In New York, the US barrel of WTI for the month of September fell 2.70% or 1.77 dollars to 63.69 dollars. After this sixth consecutive session of decline, the two reference prices on both sides of the Atlantic fell back to price levels more seen since May 21. They are yielding about 8% since the start of the slide last Thursday.
