The government of Niger has officially granted four (4) mining research permits (for gold) to the Djado Gold Niger Company. According to the agreement, the company must invest a minimum of $3,450,000.

Permits have been obtained for “Dissilak 14, 19, 25 and Djado 21” located in the Bilma department (Agadez region). According to the official government press release, Djado Gold Niger SA, a Nigerien company with a capital of 10,000,000 FCFA, must “invest within three (3) years following the signing of the four (4) mining agreements, a minimum amount equal to $3,450,000 for carrying out its gold exploration activities”, according to the agreement between the Republic of Niger and the company Djado Gold Niger. Already, this mining concession provides for the responsibility of Djado Gold, "the creation of 80 direct and indirect jobs". Djado Gold must, in accordance with the mining agreements signed, contribute to local development in the municipalities in which it will carry out its activities, up to $30,000 each year, or $120,000 over the 4 years and for each permit. The contract also stipulates an investment as a contribution to building the capacities of agents of the administration of mines and geology.
