The association of presidents of the Board of Directors of Cocoa Coffee Cooperatives of Côte d'Ivoire (ASPCACC) discussed, on June 26, 2021 in Yamoussoukro on the investiture of their office which will mark the official exit of the umbrella. Born last January from the desire of the main players in the Coffee-Cocoa sector to work in synergy to defend their interests and those of the growers.

The members of the association have set up an organizing committee and a scientific committee responsible for making a proposal for a date and a timetable which will be validated and executed. The Yamoussoukro meeting, the third of its kind since the creation of the ASPCACC, was an opportunity for the forty PCAs from cooperatives present to review some common difficulties that are hampering the development of their activities. Difficulties which are reflected, among other things, in the fall in the marketing of cocoa, the low volume granted to cooperatives which find themselves with quantities of stocks blocked in stores. Also some members have deplored the fact that some cooperatives are privileged to the detriment of others when they all hold a certification.
