As part of the support project for producers of plant material, the NGO ''Avenir de l'Environnement'' wants to strengthen coffee-cocoa production in Togo. She handed over Thursday in Tové (120 km from Lomé) cocoa seedlings and agroforestry seedlings to coffee and cocoa producers who are members of the Federation of Unions of Cooperative Societies of Coffee and Cocoa Producers (FUPROCAT).

The NGO ''Avenir de l'Environnement'' intends to support producers to enable them to extend their plantation and thus increase production. The project is funded by the Coordinating Committee for the Coffee and Cocoa Sectors (CCFCC) led by Enselme Gouthon, who has been fighting for years to defend the sector.

“This action aims to relaunch the coffee and cocoa sector,” said Téfé Prince Yawo, the organization's director. For his part, the president of the Interprofessional Council of Coffee-Cocoa Sectors (CICC), Chardey Kokouda, believes that this action fits perfectly with the government's vision, which is to achieve a production of 15,000 tonnes of cocoa and more than 25,000 tons of coffee.
