The 2021/2022 cotton campaign is looking good for Côte d'Ivoire. The Professional Association of Cotton Companies (Aprocot-CI) announces a harvest of 580,000 tonnes.

In Côte d'Ivoire, the cotton sector has shown a sustained growth rate over the last decade. According to the Professional Association of Cotton Companies (Aprocot-CI), the white gold harvest will reach 580,000 tonnes during the said season against 558,000 tonnes in 2020/2021. This anticipated production, which should be the highest in the country's history, will be carried out over an area of 460,000 hectares.
Brou Kouakou, executive secretary of Aprocot-CI, indicates that these good prospects are explained above all by the growing enthusiasm of farmers for the cultivation of fiber whose prices are more and more attractive.
