The actors and professionals of the cashew sector of the Béré region were made aware of grouping together in an agricultural interprofessional organization during a workshop initiated, Wednesday, October 7, 2020, in Mankono, by the regional management of the Cotton Council and cashews from Béré, in collaboration with the Regional Department of Agriculture and the National Chamber of Agriculture.

It is a question of bringing the actors and professionals of the cashew sector of the Béré region to be part of the vision of the Ivorian Government to group each agricultural sector into an interprofessional organization, in order to better defend their rights, as well as benefit from better processing and taking advantage of the activities, explained the regional delegate of the Cotton and Cashew Council, Coulibaly Sandona.

"We are delighted with this news, which will give a second life to our activities. Our thanks go to the government and the organizers, the Cashew Cotton Council, the Regional Directorate of Agriculture and ANADER", added confided the chairman of the board of directors of the cooperative society of cashew nut producers of Korodougou (CPNK). He called on his peers to fully support the establishment of an agricultural interprofessional organization.

Agricultural interprofessional organizations are groups made up of the most representative professional organizations of agricultural production, processing and marketing. In the Béré region, there is a cotton, coffee, cocoa and maize sector respectively.

The information meeting was moderated by Bohousou N'Goran David, representing the Regional Director of Agriculture and Rural Development of Béré. The National Rural Development Support Agency (ANADER) also took part.
