During the fourth quarter of 2019, oil prices denominated in currency fell by 3.2% year-on-year. The information is given by the Bceao in its "Quarterly Statistics Bulletin" in the fourth quarter of 2019.

“With regard to the main raw materials exported by the countries of the Union, their prices have experienced contrasting trends, with a year-on-year increase for gold (+20.6%), cocoa (+13.5 %) and rubber (+8.5%).

On the other hand, prices went down for cashew (-36.0%), cotton (-16.0%) and coffee (-14.4%).
As for imported products, compared to the fourth quarter of 2018, prices were on the rise for rice (+13.9%), edible oils (+5.5%) and wheat (+2.0%) , informs the Bceao.

On the regional stock market, the BRVM 10 index fell by 3.4% at the end of December 2019 compared to its level at the end of December 2018. The market capitalization also fell by 2.1% over the same period.
