A search was carried out in mid-March at the premises of Banque Pictet in Geneva by the Public Ministry of the Confederation (MPC), which confirmed information from Le Temps on Monday. Warned in criminal proceedings for corruption and money laundering, Pictet replies that it investigated internally in 2014 and settled this case the following year with Finma.

Investigators from the Public Ministry of the Confederation searched the premises of the Geneva private bank in mid-March. This search is linked to the Petrobras affair, named after the gigantic corruption scandal that occurred in Brazil between 2013 and 2014, and involved dozens of Swiss banks. Pictet is therefore the fourth Swiss bank to be notified in connection with the Petrobras case. The Basel J. Safra Sarasin, whose premises were searched on October 22, 2019, the Ticino-based PKB and another Geneva establishment, Cramer, are already in this situation.
