The World Bank reaffirms its commitment to support Congo. The vice-president of the World Bank (WB), Ousmane Diagana, reassured, on March 28 in Brazzaville, the Prime Minister, Anatole Collinet Makosso, that his institution is ready to work with Congo for the achievement of the objectives defined in the National Development Plan (PND) 2022-2026.

The meeting between the head of government and the WB delegation which has been in Congo for a few hours revolved around the points deemed crucial by Ousmane Diagana. These include, for example, the development vision of Congo based on the PND; of the current partnership between the two parties. Four elements will be taken into account in this cooperation. The first element of this strategy concerns the importance of strong, stable, credible institutions within the framework of well-supported governance; the second relates to the urgency of carrying out reforms that can enable the economy to create job opportunities for all, especially for young people. The other elements consist of the empowerment of women and the fight against the effects of climate change, with a very strong emphasis on adaptation.
