PROPARCO and ECOBANK CÔTE D'IVOIRE exchanged signatures to record their partnership to finance small and medium-sized Ivorian companies. It was on the occasion of the presentation ceremony by the Ministry for the Promotion of SMEs, Handicrafts and the Transformation of the Informal Sector, of the projects of the Acceleration and Growth Program for SMEs.

The Choose Africa Resilience portfolio guarantees granted by PROPARCO will cover up to 80% of medium-term loans (1.5 billion FCFA or €2.25 million) and up to 50% of short-term loans (2. 4 billion FCFA or 3.6 M€). Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire is one of the main financial institutions in Côte d'Ivoire, benefiting from recognized expertise in financing SMEs. Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire and the AFD Group have for several years maintained an important partnership for the development of the Ivorian private sector.

These portfolio guarantees will enable Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire to offer loans to small and medium-sized enterprises guaranteed at 80% (medium term) and 50% (short term) by PROPARCO. Ecobank Côte d'Ivoire is one of the main financial institutions to deploy these exceptional guarantees in Côte d'Ivoire.
