The chiefs of staff of the navies of the Gulf of Guinea announce a symposium with a view to pooling efforts against maritime piracy. Scheduled for next Thursday, March 17, this event will devote the protection of coasts, fisheries resources, and the fight against illegal immigration.

The navies of the Gulf of Guinea face common threats, in particular predation at the level of fishing resources, piracy and the phenomenon of illegal immigration. At the end of the “Obangamé express 2022” maritime exercise, a symposium of chiefs of staff of the Gulf of Guinea navies will be organized to discuss insecurity in the area.

This symposium will be an opportunity for the chiefs of staff of the navies of the Gulf of Guinea to pool their efforts against maritime piracy which threatens this area rich in hydrocarbons and natural resources.
