This funding will serve as budget support to Uganda. According to an announcement made on March 10, 2022 by the institution at the end of the completion of the first review of the Extended Credit Facility (ECF) agreement concluded in June 2021 with the country, this fund amounts to 385 million dollars, the total disbursement of the fund under the agreement of approximately $1 billion. The ECF agreement covers a program that aims to support the response to the Covid-19 pandemic in the short term and to stimulate more inclusive growth.
