The 46th General Assembly of the Federation of African National Law Insurance Companies (FANAF) was held in Douala. Under the theme "Systemic Risks: Insurance and Resilience", its purpose was to review the 2021 accounts and the 2022 budget.

The meeting dedicated the closing of the second exercise of the office led by César Ekomie Afene. This face-to-face and videoconference meeting allowed participants to immerse themselves in the actions carried out during this second exercise. Namely Defend the interests of members in the regulatory field. Explore the main axes of the development of insurable material. In particular: the digitization of insurance operations, microinsurance, the expansion of the scope of compulsory insurance. And, maintain close communication with all the institutions in the ecosystem.

In preparation for the 2022 budget and in a post Covid 19 context, an ambitious and reckless program was presented to the assembly. The Scientific General Assembly, which aims to immerse everyone in the experiences to develop the industry. But also carry out actions that require research to be able to make decisions and plan in a concrete and rational way. The Partnership with the CIMA which is the regulator must be for the development of insurance and therefore that of the economy of African countries.
