The financial mechanisms put in place by the government of Côte d'Ivoire to protect its businesses against covid-19 cost it around $73 million in 2021.

The Ivorian government has disbursed more than $72.6 million in the fight against covid-19. This funding was divided into four funds: the support fund for large companies (FSGE), the support fund for SMEs (FSPME), the support fund for actors in the informal sector (FASI) and the solidarity fund and Humanitarian Emergency Support (HSS). Called “Covid-19 Funds”, they were used to “Help on the one hand strongly impacted companies, and on the other hand individuals who have lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic”.
