The Fund for Export Development in Africa (FEDA) of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) is investing in Ecow-Gas, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) distribution infrastructure platform to promote the distribution of LNG in west Africa.

The subsidiary of Afreximbank geared towards development impact investment, announced that it has invested in Ecow-Gas BV (Ecowgas), with a view to promoting efforts to minimize CO2 emissions by replacing polluting fuels currently used. FEDA's investment in Ecow-Gas will support the creation, in partnership with a leading international oil company, of the infrastructure to provide access to cheaper, cleaner fuel to currently underserved industrial customers across the region.
