As part of the deployment of the African Continental Free Trade Area (ZLECAf), Togo has just launched Trade Barriers Africa, an online mechanism to accelerate the removal of non-tariff barriers (NTBs) between States.

Thanks to Trade Barriers Africa, Togolese traders will be able to report these obstacles, also called non-tariff barriers, and obtain their lifting with the support of the national authorities. The tool, a website, concretely allows traders and exporting companies crossing Togo's borders to report the various BNTs that would prevent them from selling their products on Togolese territory, "whether quotas imports, labeling and packaging requirements, or repetitive inspections of shipments".
