The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group approved, on January 24, 2022 in Abidjan, a loan of 14.2 million US dollars for Côte d'Ivoire. The objective is to increase the added value of national production, as well as the market shares of local companies in a secure environment adapted to climate change.

The AfDB supports strengthening the competitiveness of enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, including those owned and managed by women. Financial support comes from the African Development Fund, the Bank Group's concessional financing window. It must contribute in particular to the implementation of the first phase of the Support Program for the Improvement of the Business Climate for a Structural Transformation of the Ivorian Economy (PACA-CI). This program should make it possible to remove the obstacles in terms of the business climate in order to strengthen the inclusive and resilient nature of growth and to ensure jobs and decent incomes for the populations.
