According to cybersecurity data published on Monday, January 31, by the Platform for the Fight against Cybercrime (PLCC), the DITT's anti-cybercrime division, more than 5,000 complaints were recorded in 2021 compared to 2,408 in 2017, i.e. an increase of 51.84% over the past four years, reports the information platform We Are Tech.

Digital security solutions can help Côte d'Ivoire save 2.5 billion FCFA (nearly $4.2 million) every year. This is the amount that cybercriminals caused the country to lose in 2021, according to Colonel Ouattara Moussa, director of IT and technological traces (DITT) at the Ministry of the Interior and Security.
