Hassane Moussa Barazé, Nigerien Minister of Post and New Information Technologies passes the baton to Aurélie Adam Souley Zoumarou who becomes the new president of the Council of Ministers of the Multinational School of Telecommunications (ESMT). Through its Minister for the Digital Economy, Benin now chairs the ESMT Council of Ministers.

The handover took place during the 6th session of the ESMT Council of Ministers which took place in Niamey, Niger on Friday, January 26th. Thus, Benin will lead this supreme decision-making body of the ESMT for two years. The mission of the Council of Ministers of the Multinational Higher School of Telecommunications is to set the main guidelines for this institution of higher education of a professional and university nature in the digital field. Aurélie Adam Zoumarou, in her speech, indicated that one “of the main challenges facing ESMT is that of improving governance in order to increase its performance”.
