Senegal has signed four financing agreements with the African Development Bank (AfDB) relating to employment, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the opening up and empowerment of women.

Visiting Senegal, the President of the AfDB took the opportunity to implement several commitments to support the Senegalese economy. One of the agreements signed relates to the Support Program for Industrial Acceleration, Competitiveness and Employment (PAICE), for an amount of 71.5 billion CFA francs. This program aims to support job creation and the acceleration of industrialization. It is structured around four components: strengthening the competitiveness of value chains, setting up a competitiveness task force in Dakar and six other regions, technical assistance and access to financing for SME.
