According to the BEAC, the interoperability promoted for a few years by the Groupement interbancaire monétique de l'Afrique centrale (Gimac) has also favored this popularization of electronic payments, to which should be added transfers abroad. Furthermore, the indicators note a positive evolution in all the countries of the sub-region, with the exception of Chad, which has experienced a drop in transactions of 19.22% over the past two years.
