The startup specialized in artificial intelligence and born in Tunisia, InstaDeep wants to extend its actions to develop decision-making artificial intelligence. It announced on Tuesday that it had raised 100 million dollars (88 million euros) from investors including the German laboratory BioNTech.

Among the investors in this series B fundraising - the third round - are also Google and Deutsche Bahn and the investment funds Alpha Intelligence Capital (Luxembourg), Chimera Abu Dhabi and G42 (United Arab Emirates) as well as the French Synergy. According to a press release from the firm, the fundraising will be used to "continue to recruit the best talents in AI and to accelerate the development of products (...) in biotechnologies, logistics, transport and electronics". The London-based company also plans to expand its geographical presence, particularly in the United States where it plans to deploy in 2022.
