Nigerian Benedict Oramah, President of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) exchanged with Togolese Head of State Faure Gnassingbé in Lomé on January 6, 2022. On the occasion, they discussed the strengthening of financing programs of the institution in the country.

Discussions between Benedict Oramah and Faure Gnassingbé relate to the development of the second phase of the Adétikopé industrial platform (PIA), the developer of which, ARISE IIP, a subsidiary of Singapore's Olam, received support from Afreximbank in the first phase of work. The infrastructure, inaugurated in June 2021, aims to create high value-added chains through the development of local industry in the agro-industrial sectors (cotton, soy, sesame, cocoa, coffee, poultry). It will thus have to play a role of "catalyst" to support the growth and socio-economic development of Togo.
