Acting Managing Director of ARB Apex Bank Plc since July 26, 2021, Alex Kwasi Awuah is the new Managing Director of ARB Apex Bank. He was confirmed as head of the “mini” central bank in charge of Ghana's 145 rural and community banks by the board of directors of Bank of Ghana (BoG), the country's central bank.

The new director officially took office on January 1, 2022 for a term of 4 years. The position became vacant last July when former chief executive Kojo Mattah retired after four years in business. Alex Awuah is a Chartered Banker and holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (Finance option), Bachelor of Science in Administration (Banking and Finance option) from the University of Ghana Business School. He has also passed the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK exams up to professional level.
