The World Bank is providing financial support to the Electricity Network Interconnection Project (RIS/RIN) in Cameroon and between Cameroon and Chad (PIRECT). The project also benefits from the support of other development partners such as the African Development Bank (AfDB) which released 148 billion FCFA a few months ago, or 255 million dollars for its implementation.

The World Bank has just released a line of credit of 305 million dollars, or 178 billion FCFA for the implementation of the RIS/RIN project. In particular, it will be a question of building 1,319 kilometers of transmission lines as well as related high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage equipment in order to transport energy from Cameroon to Chad, which will make it possible to cover 478 localities with electricity. . It is a project that connects Cameroon to Chad where the needs are immense.
