Trove Finance, a Nigeria-based international stock trading app, has won the fourth edition of the annual Ecobank Fintech Challenge.

The Ecobank Fintech Challenge is a flagship event of the Ecobank Group aimed at supporting and encouraging early-stage fintechs on the African continent. During the virtual final, broadcast live from Accra, Ghana, the five finalists pitched their solution to a panel of tech experts. Trove Finance's app allows financial institutions and individuals based in Africa to buy, sell and trade the stocks, bonds or funds listed on the US, Chinese, Nigerian or other global stock exchanges, with only 1,000 naira (about 2 USD). Trove Finance's solution fills a gap by providing an easy-to-use digital investment platform that expands investment participation and inclusion.
