Canal+ Group has entered into a broadcasting partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) to acquire the live rights to promote mixed martial arts (MMA) in more than 25 countries in Africa and Asia. Thanks to this agreement, the French media giant will provide French-language coverage of UFC events in sub-Saharan Africa for the first time.

The Canal+ Group has just signed a multi-year contract with the world's leading organization for mixed martial arts (MMA), one of the most popular sports competitions in the world. Thus, UFC content will be available on Canal+ Group platforms in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, Mauritius, as well as in Vietnam and Myanmar. Programming includes all major UFC events and UFC Fight Nights that will be broadcast live in these territories, as well as magazines and additional content aimed at enhancing the visibility of the competition.

Canal+, the leading pay-TV operator in French-speaking sub-Saharan Africa, therefore now includes the UFC within an incomparable catalog of premium sports rights that already includes the biggest international competitions (such as the UEFA Champions League, the Premier League or the NBA).
