Customs officers from member countries of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) in battle order for security in space. They are organizing their 9th forum, from December 15 to 17, 2021, in Ouagadougou.

Placed under the theme: "fight against insecurity in the member states of UEMOA: contribution and efficiency of customs controls", this meeting aims to contribute to the effective fight against the security crisis that is shaking the sub-region. According to the Secretary General of the National Union of Customs Administration Workers (SYNATRAD) of Burkina Faso, Blaise R. Nébié, the choice of this theme is justified by the impact of the security crisis on the free movement of goods and people, state institutions, civilian populations and the economy since the countries of the region are under threat from armed terrorist groups.
