Under the 50th injection of liquidity, the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO) refinanced 91 commercial banks to the tune of 3684 billion FCFA.

This is the BCEAO's second weekly liquidity injection in December and the 50th in 2021. At the end of the operation, the Central Bank of West African States injected 3,684 billion FCFA. 91 participating commercial banks were able to obtain refinancing up to their liquidity needs. In total, the Ivorian banking sector with the densest banking network in the West African Monetary Union (UMOA) comes first with a refinancing amount collected of 1,133 billion FCFA. It is followed by the Senegalese banking sector with 763 billion FCFA. Benin comes in 3rd position with 585 billion FCFA. It should be recalled that despite the increase of 120 billion FCFA experienced by the 50th injection compared to the previous one, the call for tenders maintained the same auction conditions at a fixed interest rate of 2%.
