The Electricity Company of Guinea (EDG SA) has signed an energy purchase contract which will supply the city of N'zérékoré with quality electricity in sufficient quantity for the happiness of the populations of Zaly.

The signing of the said contract is the culmination of several months of negotiation between the Ivorian State, represented by its electricity companies (CI ENERGIES and CIE) and the Guinean State, represented by EDG. Under this contract, the electricity companies (CI ENERGIES and CIE) undertake to make available to the Guinean State, represented by the company ELECTRICITE DE GUINEE (EDG SA), a volume of eleven megawatts (11 MW), i.e. about eighty gigawatt hours (80 GWh) per year that can improve the energy demand of the city of N'zérékoré. The signing of this strategic contract for each party is the culmination of negotiations between the two companies since 2019 and the Guinean side has been strongly mobilized through a representative of the Ministry of Energy, Hydraulics and Hydrocarbons and led by Mr. Bangaly MATY, Managing Director of EDG SA.
