The Board of Directors of the African Development Bank Group recently approved a CFAF 20.26 billion facility for Ecobank International subsidiaries and EBI SA's trade finance activities in Africa.

The facility aligns with the acute market demand for trade finance in Africa in the areas of agriculture, transport, construction, health and manufacturing, and is in line with the five strategic priorities of the Bank, in particular Industrialize Africa, Integrate Africa and Feed Africa. It is also in line with the operational priorities of the Bank's Financial Sector Development Strategy, which promotes increased access to finance for small businesses and the broadening and deepening of African financial markets.
