The African Development Bank (AfDB) is granting more than 108 million euros to the Support Program for Industrial Acceleration, Competitiveness and Employment (PAAICE). The objective is to support economic recovery, accelerated industrialization and job creation in Senegal by improving the competitiveness of value chains, productivity and the adoption of material and organizational technologies, access to finance and private sector development.

The program is structured around four pillars: strengthening the competitiveness of the private sector; improving access to finance for micro, small and medium enterprises; stimulate productivity gains and access to technology; and promote private investment. The financial support consists of two loans: the first of 96.1 million euros from the AfDB, and the second of 12.26 million euros from the African Development Fund, its concessional financing window. The program, which is scheduled to run until 2025, will also benefit from a contribution of five million euros from the Government of Senegal. The program will benefit project promoters, very small and medium-sized enterprises, auto-entrepreneurs, including actors in the informal sector, who represent more than 90% of the Senegalese economic fabric, and a large part of whom are young people and women. .
