The liquidity needs of Moroccan banks fell by 9.2 mmdh in 30 days. Thus, bank al-maghrib reduced the volume of its liquidity injections to 84.2 mmdh on average after 92.2 billion in September 2021.

During the month of October, banks' need for liquidity eased to stand at a weekly average of 73.8 billion dirhams after 83 billion the previous month. Bank Al-Maghrib's interventions focused on 7-day advances on calls for tenders (32.8 billion dirhams after 33.7 billion in September), guaranteed loans granted within the framework of financing support programs micro-businesses (25.8 billion dirhams after 26.7 billion) and repo transactions (25.6 billion dirhams after 30.9 billion).

The average weighted overnight interbank rate (TIMPJJ) has remained, since June 18, 2020, almost stable, aligned with the key rate at 1.50%. This increase concerned rates for equipment loans (+69 bp at 4.79%) and real estate (+20 bp at 4.72%), while those for cash loans stagnated at 4% and those of consumer loans fell by 13 bp to 6.51%.
