The second edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) opened this Monday, November 15 in South Africa. Through a press release, the first pan-African banking group, the Ecobank Group, expresses its pride in supporting the growth and commercial and economic development of Africa by sponsoring this event which is held until November 21, 2021.

IATF 2021 kicked off in the presence of 7 African Heads of State, including South African host Cyril Ramaphosa, Zimbabwean Emmerson Mnangagwa, Zambian Hakainde Hichilema and Nigerian Muhammadu Buhari. This continental mass is jointly organized by Afreximbank, the African Union (AU) and the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (Zlecaf). As a major partner determined to play an important role in achieving the objectives of the Zlecaf, the Ecobank Group is delighted to sponsor the Iatf 2021 which promises to be an important event to make the vision of a "market single African" a reality. In the press release, Akin Dada, Director of Corporate and Investment Banking at Ecobank Group, said that the Intra-Africa Trade Fair provides a unique opportunity for African companies to make business contacts in all countries of the African continent, as the agreement on the African Continental Free Trade Area removes historic barriers to intra-African trade and investment by creating a vast single market.
