The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a branch of the World Bank, plans to support universal and affordable broadband access in Africa. Thus, it has partnered with Liquid Intelligent Technologies to expand the capacity of data centers and the deployment of fiber optic cable on the continent.

IFC partners with Liquid Intelligent Technologies to strengthen Africa's digital infrastructure. Both partners aim to increase digital connectivity and inclusion in Africa and support the region's growing digital ecosystem. According to the press release, IFC's equity and debt investments in Liquid Intelligent Technologies, which to date total approximately $250 million, will help the company expand the capacity of its hyperscale data centers by Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa through its subsidiary, Africa Data Centres. The investments will also support Liquid Intelligent Technologies in the further deployment of its fiber broadband network, which today covers more than 100,000 kilometers of sub-Saharan Africa. The continued construction of its network will help connect businesses and individuals to the Internet across the continent and position Liquid intelligent Technologies to be at the forefront of Africa's digital transformation with the provision of complementary digital services.
