Exchanges between the Vice-President of the World Bank for West and Central Africa, Ousmane Diagana and the Head of State Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé led to the signing of the financing agreement for the economic corridor project Lomé-Ouagadougou-Niamey signed.

The discussions focused on cooperation between Togo and this Bretton Woods institution, in particular, the development of economic opportunities and, in particular, the scope of the Lomé-Ouagadougou-Niamey regional economic corridor project, including the financing agreement for Togo was signed in the presence of the Prime Minister, Victoire Tomegah-Dogbé, and some members of the government. The regional integration economic project, the Lomé-Ouagadougou-Niamey corridor is part of regional integration and demonstrates Togo's solidarity with the countries of the hinterland, such as Burkina Faso and Niger, according to the Vice-President of the World Bank, Ousmane Diagana. According to him, the strategic importance of the said project is to contribute to the development of economic relations between these three countries and facilitate the circulation of goods and services.
