According to the Department of Forecasting and Economic Studies (Dpee), this figure represents 1.8% of the total value of imports of goods for the month of August 2021.
Imports of goods from WAEMU countries are estimated at 7.5 billion in August 2021 against 7.6 billion the previous month, i.e. a slight drop of 29.1 million. They represented 1.8% of the total value of imports of goods in August 2021. Côte d'Ivoire remains Senegal's main supplier within the zone, with a share estimated at 71.0% in August 2021 against 67.5% the previous month.
