Facebook's Novi digital wallet launched without the Diem cryptocurrency. Novi is timidly introduced with a pilot program and with the Pax Dollar cryptocurrency.

As part of a pilot program in the United States and Guatemala, Facebook has begun rolling out its Novi digital wallet app. This application will allow users to send and receive money using Pax Dollar (USDP) - a sta,xblecoin-like cryptocurrency - through partnerships with Paxos and Coinbase. On Novi, 1 USDP is equal to 1 US dollar. The introduction of Novi is indeed not done with the Diem cryptocurrency (stablecoin formerly Libra) carried by the association of the same name and pushed by Facebook. Even if it is not total, the choice of Pax Dollar is a small surprise.
