For its African expansion project, the Nigerian digital bank, Brass, announced Thursday, October 20 that it had raised an amount of 1.7 million USD. These funds should be used to meet the banking needs of local entrepreneurs, merchants and fast-growing businesses.

The digital bank Brass raises 1.7 million USD to finance its expansion project in South Africa and Kenya, but also in other African markets. The round was led by Olugbenga 'GB' Agboola (co-founder of Flutterwave), Ezra Olubi (co-founder of Paystack, acquired by Stripe), Hustle Fund, and Acuity Ventures, among others. The company will also leverage this new funding to launch a number of new product categories, including an expansion of the startup's presence in the credit market.
