Club Tiossane, a delivery company for fresh produce purchased online, and two agribusinesses, Biosene and Entreprise Aissatou Gaye (EAG), have obtained funding from USAID to develop the agribusiness sector.

The USAID-funded West Africa Trade & Investment Hub awarded co-investment grants totaling $1.43 million (FCFA 780 million) to the three Senegalese companies. Club Tiossane will leverage USAID co-investment and its own resources to expand its operations, constructing a cold storage and packing facility to increase its food storage capacity. Biosene, a food company that sells products made from local raw materials, will use USAID funds to strengthen its supply chains in Senegal and the West African region that has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. For Entreprise Aïssatou Gaye (EAG), a rice production company based in the Ross-Béthio area, in the Saint Louis region, the funds will help overcome its difficulties in terms of working capital, agricultural advisory services and processing capacity.
