The headquarters of the Association of Insurance Companies of Côte d'Ivoire (Asa-Ci), in Abidjan-Cocody served as a framework for the Insured who received training on the importance of mediation.

The leaders of the Federations of consumer associations took part in an information and awareness-raising workshop on the theme: “Insurance mediation”. It was a question of informing the insured, the victims or beneficiaries of an insurance contract, the associations for the defense of consumer rights... the reasons for the creation of this insurance mediation in Côte d'Ivoire, the conditions for referral to the mediator, the achievements of the mediator in the settlement of claims, the impact of the mediator in the practices of insurance companies and the advantages of consumers who will seek the mediator for out-of-court settlements... A On occasion, particular emphasis was placed on the reasons that motivated the creation of insurance mediation. These are, among other things, the recurring disputes between insurers and policyholders, the frequent presence of policyholders and insurers before civil courts whose decisions drag on.
