The announcement comes at a time when Gabon has embarked on a policy to reduce its dependence on oil.
Present in Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire and Togo, the fortune fund also plans to obtain a credit rating. According to Managing Director Akim Daouda, diversifying the Fund's investments and obtaining the rating are "key to our strategy to be able to raise more funds to support the country's ambition towards economic transformation". He specifies that this new ambition will be examined from the end of 2022, once all the investments in the infrastructures are closed.
