The Central African States Development Bank (BDEAC) provides financial support to the Central African Republic. The President of BDEAC, Fortunato-Ofa Mbo Nchama, and the Minister of State for the Economy in the Central African Republic (CAR), Felix Moloua, signed, on September 13 in Brazzaville, a loan agreement dedicated to strengthening national health systems and the fight against the coronavirus pandemic (covid-19).

This financial support will enable the Central African government to contain the pandemic, guarantee the living conditions of the population and strengthen its health system. It will also serve to improve equitable access of the population to quality health services and to guarantee health security in epidemic and post-epidemic situations. According to Fortunato-Ofa Mbo Nchama, President of the BDEAC, this support will allow the rehabilitation of existing health structures and the construction of new hospital structures in order to cover the vast Central African territory and offer the population equitable access to quality health care. . For his part, the Minister of Finance and Budget of the CAR, Hervé Ndoba indicates that this loan will be mainly and essentially used in the account of the strengthening of national health infrastructures in order to improve access to better health for all.
