The Cameroonian subsidiary of the Moroccan group Wafa assurance aims to extend its activities across the country, relying in particular on the network of the Commercial Banking Company (SCB), a subsidiary of the Moroccan banking group Attijariwafa bank, which covers all regions of the country. with about fifty agencies and offices. This company could thus position itself in its segment among the most important insurance companies operating in Cameroon. It is a question of developing "a local insurance policy allowing a large number of people to take out an insurance policy", indicated the leaders of this company. The Cameroonian subsidiary of the Moroccan group Wafa assurance had concluded a double acquisition of Pro Assur Vie and IARD after the signing of a related contract by the two parties in 2019. The capital of the company Wafa Assurance Vie Cameroun SA increased by 1.061 billion of FCFA to bring it from 3.5 billion FCFA to 4.56 billion FCFA following the universal transmission of the assets of the company Pro Assur Vie SA”.
