The 120 young participants of the summer school presented the six applications they have created in Godomey on Friday, August 13, in front of an audience made up of scholars, friends and curious people.

End date for the first edition of the summer school on artificial intelligence organized by the Vallet Foundation and the NGO Benin Excellence (Be). One hundred twenty young Beninese students, students and professionals now have basic knowledge of artificial intelligence to find solutions to problems of all kinds. They were selected and trained for three weeks in programming, machine learning, robotics and embedded electronics during the first edition of the summer school on artificial intelligence. An initiative led by the Vallet Foundation (under the aegis of the Fondation de France) and implemented by the NGO Benin Excellence (Be), from July 19 to August 13 last year. To put the acquired knowledge into practice, the young programmers divided themselves into six teams, each of which carried out a project. Model for predicting the spread of epidemics, a basic search engine that tolerates spelling errors and omissions, an automatic object classification system, a self-driving automatic car that is sensitive to traffic lights, an automatic system for counting chicken heads in a chicken coop, and optimizing a helicopter failure, are the six achievements of the learners.
