The Development Bank of Mali (BDM-SA) has been recognized as "best regional bank in West Africa 2021" thanks to its performance. On August 12, 2021, the Malian Minister of Economy and Finance, Allouséni Sanou, officially congratulated the management board of the Development Bank of Mali for obtaining its latest trophy.

This is the award for “Best Regional Bank in West Africa 2021”, which was awarded to the bank during the last African Banker Awards ceremony held in June 2021. “This is the second time that the BDM-SA wins this award for results in a competitive environment where banks from 16 countries are competing for the market for resources and jobs,” said Bréhima Amadou Haidara, General Manager of BDM-SA. In addition, the bank took the opportunity to present to the Minister of Finance, “the winners of the 2021 promotion of the Technical Banking Institute (ITB) of France”. The particularity this year remains the ranking of Malian candidates who have monopolized the very first places, with two Malian women in the ranks of major (17.73 average) and second (17.20) and another Malian in 4th place (16, 87 average). All three had the mention "Very Good" and are executives of the Development Bank of Mali.
